As the famous saying goes ‘all that glitters is not gold’. I never imagined that this would be so true for all almost every other thing in life. The maxim holds true for even the IT industry. The wise thing to do these days is to be alert all the time as the buggers are out there to cheat on you always. Recently, several complaints have been recorded on some of the well known companies regarding their inefficiency to provide quality products. There are companies that make their website appear all tech-savvy and attractive with a rich portfolio for showcase but many a times it turns out that the entire portfolio is a fake.
Whenever, assigning the work of designing or redesigning a website you must always be careful and check on the company thoroughly. There are various ways in which you can save yourself from getting fooled and wasting lot of your money and time.
Firstly, always check the market reputation of the company before assigning any project to them. You can do this easily by searching the company on the internet.
Secondly, make sure that the work done by them is actually their efforts. For this, you need to contact their previous clients. Generally, you will be able to get the clients website address from the portfolios. You can write an email to them or simply call them and ask for a genuine review.
Another possibility is that you make them sign a contract that the work will be delivered within so and so time limit and also the name of the company and the person doing this work.
It is always better to prevent a mishap rather than looking for a remedy at the end of the misfortune. Surely, nobody would like to take chance and lose out of a huge sum of money and time with useless and below average performing company.
