Google's PageRank (PR) is one of the most wanted after, and yet misinterpreted, web page attributes. PageRank, named after one of the founders of the Google search engine, Larry Page, was the pioneering foundation that the Google search engine was built on. The theory was that a link from one web page to a web page of another website was in concentrate a vote for that page. The analysis was that webmasters would only link to web pages that they thought were appealing and of value to their viewers. Google applies number of inbound links and based on this calculation determined where to place that page on the search engine results page. Google carried out a method to calculate the ranking of each page on the internet.  This method is known as Google Page Rank algorithm.

Google has acquired special license of Page Rank patent from Stanford University. Google Page Rank works on algorithm. All the web pages are given numerical value on the scale of 0-10 and consequently the rank is given to the web pages. Through Page Rank the significance of web page is perceived. It someway depends on the number of links a page consists. It works on the principle of the clicking of the mouse on different links to reach a particular page. The Page Rank is denoted as ‘PR’. A vote is counted when you click the hyperlinks of the current page. It does not influence the page rank of the page you are in. The more votes you have the greater is your page rank would be.

HOW IT IS CALCULATED?

For example, consider four web pages - X, Y, Z and S. If the three web pages are connected with the fourth web page, then they would each have a page rank of 0.25. PR(S) =PR(X) +PR(Y) +PR (Z) and if Y has link to D and S to all the three, then PR(X) =PR(Y)/2+PR (Z)/1+PR(S)/3. In general the page rank value of any web page can be seized by the following equation: That is, if we indicate the set of pages linking to Pi by Bi. There also exists a condition of a user dumping clicking at any point of his surfing, so a damping factor ‘d’ is generated which is calculated as follows: If N number of documents are available PR(X)=1-d/N +d(PR(Y)/L(Y)+PR(Z)/L(Z)………)

WHY PAGE RANK?

To launch you in the world of Internet, good page rank is important. If you want more number of surfers on your website, it can be a major factor in the marketing strategy; or else your website will lagged behind and will be out of visibility and reputation. Maintaining good page rank is a key to get successful and enjoy profits instantaneously. Search results will highlight your website on the top of the list of continuous web pages and permits users to go through your website without any trouble. The number of links also matters to gain an eye catching page rank. If your website has suitable information, links and page rank, success will knock at your doorstep.

Google search is a web search engine possessed by Google Inc. and is the most used and popular search engine on the Internet. Google collects several million queries each day through its different services. Google search was developed by Larry Page and Sergey Brin in 1997. Most of us don’t know that how many times we have click Google search button, must be about million times in our life. Google has many particular features to help anyone to find precisely what you're looking for. Some of most popular Google search features are Everyday Essentials, Reference Tools, Choosing Keywords, Local Search, Health Search, Trip Planning, Query Refinements and Search by Number.

Anyone can search in Google search using any keyword(s). It will then return, in order of Google consequence, the websites linked with those keywords. Each result shows a graphical bar with the PageRank of that particular website. We never understand why a particular web page stands on top of the list, after search process is conducted, and all other web page features below till the tenth page of the list. Internet is becoming more composite day by day with boost number of websites and of course web pages. Page Rank is one of the methods to measure the significance of a web page and Google is the adapter of the same.

Page Rank is a numerical value that estimates significance of a web page on the Internet. When you click on the links of a web page to another web page, you cast the vote for the concluding. The added votes cast for web page; the more vital the web page must be on Internet. Also, the significance of the web page is casting vote decides the importance of the vote itself.  Google computes web page's weight from the votes cast for it. How imperative each vote is taken into account when a web page's Page Rank is considered. Page Rank is Google's way of determining web page's consequence. It carries weight because it is one of the factors that influence a page's ranking in the search results. It isn't the only factor that Google applies to rank pages, but it is an imperative one.

Page Rank is referred as ‘PR’. When a web page votes its Page Rank value to other web pages, the rank of that page do not get deducted by the value by which it is voting. The page executing the voting does not end up with reduced Page Rank. It is not a shift of Page Rank. The Page Rank is only a vote granting to the page's Page Rank value. It's like a shareholders voting at meeting where each shareholder support with vote to the number of shares held, but the shares themselves aren't given away.

Suppose the world has four web pages named as: X, Y, Z and S. The initial approximation of Page Rank would be consistently divided between these four web pages; each web page would start with an estimated page rank 0.25. Permit the initial value be 1. If page Y, Z AND S are connected with X, they all will have page rank as 0.25. PR(X) =PR(Y) +PR (Z) +PR(S) Page Pj has lj links. If one of the links is to page Pi, then Pj will pass on 1/lj of its significance to Pi. The magnitude ranking of Pi is then the sum of all the shares made by pages linking to it. That is, if we represent the set of pages linking to Pi by Bi, then thus, in the period of new form of media and mass communication tools such as internet, to have good page rank for your website is of great meaning. The trail to set up you as a better and profitable website; page rank holds a lot of importance. It is equal to the golden bird for the success of your website. The more clicks you will have, the larger page rank and enormous exposure of your website which contributes to mouth glittering profits.

Google also meets the requirement of every single person, the moment you type text, your search engine will open thousands of pages and each of link gives you thousands of the required information. Did anyone ever have any sort of idea that how Google determines that which page to be assigned with which page rank?

This method of ranking is known as PageRank, named after Larry Page.  The Google PageRank format was developed by the founders of Google, Larry Page and Sergey Brin at Stanford University. PageRank is a numerical value that calculates the significance of a web page. A vote is cast when one of the web pages is linked to another web page. The more number of votes a page gets, the more of importance it will gain. Google includes the page’s information by the number of votes and consequently allots its place. PageRank is usually referred as “PR”. Page Rank’s patent is with Stanford University and Google have its license which is solely allotted to it. Google had paid huge amount of money to use Page Rank, as it is owned by Stanford University.

A page with highest number of links have chance to locate higher in the race of votes. Google allots a numeric weighting from 0-10 for each page on the Internet. 0 is the lowest and 10 is the highest. The higher rank number on page shows that the page has a higher value than a lower rank number. A page with a 0 ranking can also be a new page with no links up till now or one that has been punished by Google for employing spam tactics in their web pages. The working is simple; if new websites link to your web pages they are successfully casting a vote for your web page.  If higher rank pages link to your web page then it will make your web page more important because if higher value pages link to new website, then the new website will also be consider of high value. The same method can be done on low rank pages link of web pages.

The Page Rank is gained from a theoretical prospect value on a logarithmic scale. Other factors like significance of search words on the web page and actual visits to the page also influences page rank. To measure the page rank, its entire inbound links are taken into contemplation, these links are within and outside of the website. To boost your page rank you want to create such superb content that everyone will want to link to your page.

The equation to calculate page rank is PR (A) = PR (B) +PR(C) +PR (D). If in the above equation B, C and D are linked to A, they would individually get 0.25 page rank to A. If B has link to C and D to all then the value of link votes is divided by all the outbound links. The Page Rank with an outbound link is equal to the document's own Page Rank score divided by the standardized number of outbound links L( ) PR (A) = PR (B)/L (B) +PR(C)/L(C) +PR (D)/L (D). Thus the page rank for any page u is calculated as: PR (u) =∑ PR/L vEBu. Pay-per-click advertising can add an important tool to your online business. With the right approach and policy, your PPC advertising can be a great success, conceding more visitors to your website and converting them into clients. Some businesses choose to pull their PPC ads after a successful run, and generate new ads under the notion that they must continually refresh their advertisements. If you have a PPC ad that is still thriving, there's nothing wrong with ongoing your campaign with the same ad! Also, you can include other PPC providers with the same ad to rendering your product to new audiences in new websites.

Pay per click is established on a system of counted clicks. An advertiser will set a bid; say $2, for each click. Then, when people visit that website, the advertiser is only charged for a click. This form of advertising is moderately risk free, as it insures that the only time the advertiser pays is when someone visits their website. Such a system may seem easy to utilize. This type of website is very flexible and is equipped toward sales. When a term gains adequate recognition, the marketer will put money in to a PPC campaign.

Many search engine marketing companies across the globe offer Pay Per Click (PPC) Management services along with guaranteed results. If you choose professional PPC advertising management company to run and manage your PPC Campaign then you will be successful. This will save huge amounts of money and time as well as provide you high ROI. A lot of website owners are put off the substitute to PPC - attaining high search engine rankings by Organic SEO techniques - because it sounds too much like hard work or very challenging and technically difficult. When website owners are advertising in Adwords or any other PPC program, the key to keep in mind is consequence. Showing an ad designed for ‘Google Adwords’ to someone who has clicked on the keyword phrase ‘Adwords eBook reviews’ is perhaps not the best approach.

This alters you to then generate separate ads more personally targeting whatever it is your viewer is searching for. This will result in a higher CTR (Click-Through Rate) for your campaign and should result in a higher sales conversion rate as well. On the other hand, SEO can be done for free. Regrettably the traffic will be random since you constantly have to estimate, adjust and modify your strategies. The best thing would be to use both SEO and PPC at the same time directing for different keywords with PPC than you are using in SEO.

Whenever you visit any Flash based website, you will find that the Flash website do have animated elements, perhaps music and sound effects. Flash permits for the creation of websites with video, graphics, sound, music and much more. Most of us haven’t seen websites with animation and most likely didn't feature music or sound effects. You may also have seen regular websites that have some animated elements on them. So, websites can be either composed entirely of "Flash", or they can merely include some "Flash" elements such as animated headers. Some websites of course don't have any "Flash" elements at all.

Let's take a look at what the advantages and disadvantages of "Flash" website content is all about.

Flash content can look grand: a good designer can create an eye-catching, professional website in Flash – For example a User recently visited a website for an interior design firm.  After being treated with fancy logo sequence, he found himself in a house, with unremarkable background music playing on the website. User clicked on a doorway of the house of the website and after a brief loading sequence, he was treated to a 3d panoramic video clip of the room, with narration about what interior design choices had been made for this particular room. This website not only appeals the User but almost all Users who visit this website, with both the visual and audio senses. User found that website had a high degree of communicating. User found this website professional and this impression rubbed off on the company who owned the website.

Users find this particular Flash website most successful! However, "Flash" isn't great, and here's why. Search Engines don't really like "Flash" websites as much as they like plain old fashioned "text and pictures" ones. How search engine will know that this website is about interior design? It doesn't. Search engine giant Google is very skillful at reading text. If search engines were to visit a website of ‘text’ or ‘content’ about Interior Design, it would scan the website, and soon figure out what the website is all about. Accordingly, it would be able to provide up this website in its results when people searched for "interior design". A human being might prefer the "Flash" version of this website, but the Flash website leaves search engines such as Google puzzled. Google can't really watch Flash videos or listen to narration. How is it supposed to figure out what the website is all about? There are also other disadvantages of Flash Website Design. They can be burdensome and very slow; all users will not have high speed internet connection to view Flash websites.
