They build handcrafted, professional grade studio furniture for use in high-end computer workstations, recording studios, broadcasting, post production and film composition suites, houses of worship, and control rooms.
Opportunity
The client wanted a dynamic ecommerce website, using the company’s existing website as the frame of reference. PLAVEB was put in charge of designing, developing, and implementing a comprehensive ecommerce shopping cart system that incorporated the current product attributes, as well as the structure and flow of product listings from the existing site. The client also wanted us to implement a product customization feature, that would allow customers the option to choose product attributes, and enable them to receive a price quote for their customized product.
Challenges
- Designing a logo that was a perfect visual representation of the company’s services.
- Ensuring that the complexities of the existing website design were done away with, as well as shifting the focus to more engaging content.
- Aligning the new design with the expectations of the target market, and ensuring that it provided interactive design elements, while also being content focused.
- Integrating a dynamic studio furniture gallery, to directly reflect all changes made by the admin at the backend.
- Designing and developing a highly customized and interactive product details page, communicating a strong call to action, in order to convert the maximum number of visitors into customers.
- Implementing dynamic attributes on the product details page, that would help users to customize items, and reflect these customizations in the price shown.

Execution

Technical Details
PLAVEB used a collection of platforms including XML, HTML, CSS, jQuery, and AJAX Pro for designing this website. The shopping cart application is coded in C# and ASP.NET, runs on a Microsoft SQL Server 2005 database, and is hosted on Windows Server 2003 with IIS 7. PLAVEB also implemented a built-in Error Notification System, that sends error messages directly to the developer, without needing to inform end-users.
