The client already had a web presence, but it wasn’t the kind of presence that represented what Kwirkworld stands for -- unconventional gifts, fun and humor. The client requested PLAVEB to improve the website’s look and feel to make it more lively, interactive and fun to use. The client wanted an unconventional shopping cart in appearance that was in line with the funky design and overall visual appeal of the website.
Challenges
- Enhancing the client’s existing logo and implementing CSS3 animation to give the website a lively look that is highly interactive and extremely engaging.
- Designing a funky shopping cart that looks unconventional, but still attractive.
- Using CSS3 font face for customizing a unique font to meet specific client requirements.

Execution
Our technical competency on the HTML5 and CSS3 allowed us to create a website that perfectly represented the business philosophy of Kwirkworld. We used jQuery to ensure that the product details can be viewed in the grid and list view. PLAVEB’s team of designers and developers made sure that all client requirements were handled with the efficient and inventive use of the latest design and development tools.
Results
PLAVEB gave perfect shape to the client requirements and created a custom ecommerce shopping cart that was all that the client expected it to be and more. This shopping cart not only meets the highest standards of creative appeal that the client expected, but also offers a high degree of convenient functionality that all shoppers expect.
Technical Details
PLAVEB used a collection of platforms including HTML5, AJAX, JQuery, C# and CSS3 for designing the ecommerce website. The shopping cart application is coded in ASP.NET, and also uses PayPal payment gateway integration. It runs on a Microsoft SQL Server 2008 database, and is hosted on Windows Server 2008 with IIS 7. PLAVEB has implemented a built-in Error Notification System that sends any error messages directly to the developer without needing to inform end-users.
