Mountain View, California – June 2, 2010 - Yesterday Google has introduced a new feature that brings a whole new level of personalization to Google by letting you add a favorite photo or image to the background of the Google homepage.
It seems that Google has started to follow Bing in terms of "persistently changing" landing page.
The only difference is Bing has not provided authority to individual one to make their home page personal while Google will start giving that authority soon.
After looking at Bing home page, many users may feel that if I could keep my personal photo/image instead of what Bing is displaying as a background image. Now those users will able to do that using Freeze Frame feature of Google where one can make his/her own Google’s search page.
“We are beginning to roll out this new feature to users in the U.S. over the next few days, so if you don’t see a link in the lower left-hand corner of Google.com now, check back soon. For those of you outside of the U.S., you can expect to see this new feature in the coming days as we roll it out internationally to offer similar, consistent experiences globally.” - Marissa Mayer (VP Search Products & User Experience at Google) said yesterday in Google official blog.
Enjoy this new feature and get the most out of Google search page my making it your own.
