We have contracted with PLAVEB* for approximate 1.5 years for website programming support. We handle the graphic design aspects of the website, while PLAVEB* programs the graphics into "functional" use. We have only communicated via telephone, email, and postage mail, which at times creates challenges. Along with that, the inherent nature of this business, and industry, brings challenges from time to time. Despite challenges that arise, all business owners will agree that time is of the essence in leveraging websites to generate revenue to business, which impacts cash-flow...(the "life-blood" of any business). We hired and paid a firm in New York City which specialized in web design for the jewelry industry. We were told a site would be designed especially for us and would be completed in six weeks. One year later the site was not complete. The designer gave us an unfinished, incomplete, formatted site that was useless to us and we lost several thousand dollars.
